Kim Todd, president and founder of Original Pictures, produced the first three seasons of Fargo in Calgary for MGM and FX.

The first season garnered the Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice awards for best limited series, a Peabody and the David L. Wolper award from the Producers Guild of America. It stars Billy Bob Thornton (Best Actor at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards and an Emmy nomination), Allison Tolman (Best Supporting Actress at the Critics’ Choice Awards plus Golden Globe and Emmy nominations) and Martin Freeman and Colin Hanks who were also nominees for the three awards.

Season 2 picked up the Critics’ Choice award for best limited series and the David L. Wolper award from the Producers Guild of America, as well as being nominated for the Emmy award. It stars Kirsten Dunst (Best Actress at the Critics’ Choice Awards and a Golden Globe nomination), Patrick Wilson (Best Actor nominee at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards), Jean Smart (Best Supporting Actress at the Critics’ Choice Awards), Jesse Plemons (Best Supporting Actor at the Critics’ Choice Awards) and Ted Danson.  Supporting cast includes Cristin Milioti, Nick Offerman and Bokeem Woodbine, each receiving Critics’ Choice nominations in their respective categories.

Season 3 was nominated for best limited series at the Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice awards and for the David L. Wolper award from the Producers Guild of America. Ewan McGregor earned a Golden Globe award and an Emmy nomination for Best Actor playing twin brothers. The third season also starred Carrie Coon (Emmy nominee for Best Actress), David Thewlis (Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee for Best Supporting Actor) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Seasons 1-3 were big contenders in craft categories at the Primetime Emmy awards – a testament to the amazing crew that helped bring this series to life. Along with winning the Emmy for directing and casting on Season 1, cinematography and sound editing on Season 2 and original dramatic score on Season 3, the first three seasons of Fargo received a combined 32 Emmy nominations in craft categories.
